Dr. Fody has been endorsed by Marquis Who’s Who as a leader in the pathology industry

HOLLAND, Mich., Jan. 29, 2019 — Marquis Who’s Who, the world’s premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Edward P. Fody, MD, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Dr. Fody celebrates many years’ experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. With many years of practiced industry experience to his name, Dr. Fody is currently active with the Holland Hospital as a pathologist, although he is now partially retired. At the start of his career, he pursued a residency in pathology with Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, and a fellowship in chemistry through the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Over the years, he gained valuable expertise in pathology with Western Michigan Pathology Associates, the Erlanger Medical Center, Bethesda North Hospital and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Although his career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Fody is especially proud of helping build laboratories and turning pathology departments around, specifically at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati and Holland Hospital.

A diplomate of the American Board of Pathology, Dr. Fody holds a Bachelor of Science from Duke University in North Carolina, a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin and a Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University. In order to remain abreast of changes in the field, he affiliates himself with the College of American Pathologists, the American Society for Clinical Pathologists, the American Medical Association, the American Association for Clinical Chemistry and the American Society for Microbiology. Throughout his career, he has contributed to “Clinical Chemistry: Principles, Techniques, Correlations,” which was first published in 1984. For his outstanding work in the field, he was featured in numerous professional publications, including Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who’s Who in the World. Looking ahead, Dr. Fody intends to continue working as a partially retired pathologist.
